About the Author
Hello! My name is Kari Keller. I live in Long Beach, California, with my husband, Larry. I have three grown children and eight grandchildren. I know! Wow, right? I was born in Oslo, Norway, but grew up in San Francisco, California. Coming from Norwegian parents, trolls were a constant presence in my life. There were paintings of trolls in our home, stories of trolls in the bookcase, and even a carved wooden troll that sat on my parents' side table in the TV room. Now, many of those same items are in my own home. And so, it felt like the most natural thing in the world that when my children would ask me to tell them a story, that, of course, it would be a troll story. Knut, the forest troll, came to visit me in my dreams and wouldn't settle down until I had put him on paper. His story began as a short story written in rhyme. But then, Knut's adventures continued to grow to the point where I couldn't find any more rhyming words. That's when I decided he would be a book, and I set out to find an illustrator who could help bring that dream to life. I'm looking forward to telling you more about Knut and the Seven-headed Ogre and sharing my talented illustrator's pictures as we begin this exciting adventure together!
